Have you ever wondered whether there might be a person who resembles you in another planet – having the same features as you, or doing the same thing that you are doing exactly right now? Or have you ever thought of an instance where there are people like us living in another world in this universe? What they might look like, or what they think of, what they might consume as food? Perhaps there are living beings in another world who use carbon dioxide, or maybe even helium for respiration! Have you ever thought of these things?
This universe is limitless and as you all know we can’t know of what it is, even we keep finding out about it for a gazillion years! In fact the universe has been labeled useless in terms of investigating either its start or end. Perhaps, this universe is all just a micro particle of another world belonging to another universe. Remember, in ‘Horton Hears a Who!’ there was a whole world of microbes resting on a tip of a flower stamen. Who knows answers for these questions… To be honest, we aren’t even aware of where we live, or for what purpose we exist.
Soo included above is just a whole bunch of words that will give you a 4 second imagination. But from here, you will get to know an interesting thing that our scientists have found: Earth – like planets in the universe! Well what is meant by this Earth – like planets? As you are aware, humans need water and a suitable temperature to carry on their lives. It is true that there can be species that we are not even aware of, that can live in the most opposite way to how human beings live. But as we humans find Earth – like planets, what factors which will make another planet Earth – like is that it should be in the ‘habitable zone’ of its solar system, meaning it should be in a certain distance far away from its sun in order to maintain the suitable temperature for human life – not too hot or not too cold – and so, the capability of keeping water in liquid form. Scientists have continued to explore about a huge number of planets that have the above mentioned features and it has been found that small rocky worlds such as ours are abundant in the universe. Below are some brief mentioning of such planets for all of you who are interested in this field.

According to the latest research revealed in an article from gritdaily [Apr 20, 2020] Kepler-1649c is likely have the most similar features to our planet Earth. Kepler space telescope was launched in 2009 with the mission of finding how common Earth – like planets are in our galaxy; Milkyway. Even though the telescope was terminated of engaging in investigations in 2018 due to running out of fuel, it had found many similar planets to Earth during its working time. Some of those will be brought forward later in this article. Kepler – 1649c, which lies 300 light years away from our world is named the ‘most similar to Earth in size and estimated temperature’ by NASA, meaning it lies in the habitable zone and has the correct temperature that water need to be in liquid form. Furthermore, this new world is just 1.06 times larger than Earth and gets a little less amount of starlight from it star than the Earth does – 75%. However this planet differs Earth in one noticeable way that its orbit lies around a red dwarf, which our world does not. Due to this one of the challenges that Kepler – 1649c might be facing is the fact that revolving around a ref dwarf is an issue to the planet’s potential environment that keeps habitats, because of the stellar flare-ups that might be experienced by the red dwarf. A stellar flare-up means an abrupt increment of brightness of the red dwarf. Besides of the above described details, scientists have been unsuccessful in finding details in terms of the atmosphere of this planet yet.

Teegarden B and Teegarden C
Other than Kepler – 1649c, there are two other exoplanets that are just 12.5 light years away from the Earth named Teegarden B and Teegarden C. These planets lie in the same galaxy that we live in, and that they are very similar to the Earth. "They are only slightly heavier than Earth and are located in the so-called habitable zone, where water can be present in liquid form”, states lead author Mathias Zechmeister, an astrophysicist at the University of Göttingen. The issue with these planets is also that they are all surrounded by an orbit which lies along a red dwarf approximately 8 billion years old and which was only found in 2003. Out of these two, Teegarden B is the innermost planet where there is a temperate surface around 0° to 50°C as Teegarden C has a surface temperature similar to Mars - roughly -47°C.

To reveal quite a few explorations done by Kepler, it has investigated about a huge number of planets resembling our Earth and five such planets – Kepler 438b, Gliese 667Cc, Kepler 442b, Kepler 62e & 62f, Kepler 452b – should be mentioned. These planets also resemble the Earth but scientists haven’t really been successful in going deep in investigations, although they have reported quite a few characteristics of these planets. For instance, the mass of most of the mentioned planets are not yet found. In addition to the above mentioned planets there have been around 2000 and more explorations done under Earth – like planets and there is more to come.

So what if scientists find a second earth with every little detail similar to earth, which humans can cling to a habitat in? This leaves us in the question whether earth was populated by such a revolution too. And if there will be a planet that resembles earth in every means, will humans think of travelling to another planet and start living there as a new habitat? Well there are a thousand things to think about this. Let us leave it to the future and live the way we are right now!
Hoping this post gave you some valuable amount of knowledge with a great adventurous experience. This article may seem a little long, but trust me I made sure to write it in the shortest way possible. Man, there is so much out there to find about the universe.
